Growing up in China in the 60s and 70s

May 23rd, 2006

Ever wonder why your Chinese counterpart thinks and acts so differently than you?  Perhaps the answer is in their different upbringing. You might have heard of the Cultural Revolution, the Great Leap Forward and other events in China’s modern history.  But do you know what it was like to grow up in that environment?  How that environment shaped the influential Chinese businessmen of today?

Georgia China Alliance and several of its Founding Members presented a dinner gathering with a film, two speakers and an easy atmosphere to help people answer those questions and to better understand China and those who are the backbone of China’s economy.

The event was held at the UGA Alumni Center in Buckhead Atlanta. The Summit National Bank sponsored the dinner. Ms. Guanming Fang from Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC and Mr. Jian Ni Fonix Telecom, Inc. shared with all guests their experience growing up in China in the 60th.
