GCA looks to establish student chapter

Georgia China Alliance had its first student
outreach event at the University of Georgia.
Chairman Sam Zamarripa announced the next step that GCA will move
toward --- forming a Georgia China Alliance Student Chapter. Sen.
Zamarripa shared with students the beta version of the new web application
that GCA will use for member communication, which eventually will
lead the organization toward a completely virtual platform.
- A group of five panelists from different departments of the
university also shared with students their research and programs
in China. They are:
- Dr. Richard Watson, Professor,Department of Management Information
System, Terry College of Business
- Dr. Clifton W. Pannell, Associate Dean, Franklin College of
Arts & Sciences
- Ambassador C. Donald Johnson, Director of Dean Rusk Center --
International, Comparative and Graduate Legal Studies
- Dr. Karin Myhre, Assistant professor of Chinese Language and
Literature
within the Department of Comparative Literature.
- Dr. Dan Durning, Director, International Center of Democratic
Governance, Carl Vinson Institute of Government
Georgia China Alliance will host its next student event in Atlanta.
