Guanming Fang is an experienced business attorney. She joined Worldpay US, Inc. as its Vice President Corporate Counsel in July 2014 after being in private practice for 16 years. Prior to joining Worldpay, Guanming was a partner at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP, a national law firm, where she advised companies of all sizes in their mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, private financing, technology licensing and other transactions. Guanming was born and raised in China and is fluent in Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese, in addition to English. At Womble Carlyle, Guanming also led the firm’s China practice and used her unique bi-cultural and bi-lingual background to help U.S. companies navigate the political, legal, economic and relationship web in China, and Chinese companies in their expansion into the U.S. Prior to joining Womble Carlyle in 2006, Guanming was an associate at Arnall Golden Gregory from 1998 to 2006 where she provided legal counsel and representation to clients on corporate matters, mergers and acquisition transactions and compliance matters.
Guanming is the co-founder of the Georgia China Alliance and served as its chair from 2010 to 2014. Guanming received her B.A. from Zhongshan University in Guangzhou, China, in 1985; and her J.D. (magna cum laude, Order of the Coif) from Florida State University College of Law in 1998. Guanming has won numerous awards, including being named one of the “Georgia Rising Stars” by Atlanta Magazine in 2005 and one of the “25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia” by Georgia Asian Times in 2012.
