Doug Coffey

Doug CoffeyAs a Georgia Power project manager, Mr. Coffey is responsible for facilitating the location, expansion or start-up of businesses wishing to invest in Georgia. He assists companies in identifying potential buildings or sites throughout the state. Doug also provides market evaluation, construction information, engineering assistance, and serves as a liaison between the business and governmental agencies involved in the site selection process.

Doug began his career with Georgia Power in 1984 in the residential marketing organization. He assumed the role of Key Account Manager on the Client Relationship Team in 1996, where his customers included Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Delta Air Lines and large office facilities and hotels. He joined the Economic Development organization in 2011.

Mr. Coffey is a member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association, and specializes in projects in aerospace, automotive, chemicals, energy services and advanced manufacturing.

Originally from Chicago, Doug graduated from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He and his wife, Linda, have two adult children, Kate and Alex. In his free time, Doug enjoys golf and biking.
