Georgia State University is a leading urban research institution offering 50 degrees in 250 fields to 28,000-plus undergraduate and graduate students through full- and part-time programs in six colleges.

Founded in 1913, Georgia State has a mission of excellence in teaching, research and service. The Georgia State Panthers compete in a 16-sport Division I athletics program at the highest level of NCAA competition. Beginning in fall 2010, led by Coach Bill Curry, the Panthers will compete in football in NCAA Division I-AA.
